Trim Audio
Choose the start and end of the section to keep — anywhere in the file — then download a WAV. Processing stays on your device.
How to trim audio online without uploading
Extract any section from an audio file — beginning, middle, or end — entirely in your browser. Drop MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, and similar formats; your file stays on the device and downloads as a clean WAV.
How to use it
- Drop an MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, or similar audio file.
- Set Start and End to the section you want to keep (anywhere in the file).
- Download the trimmed WAV.
When it helps
Handy for pulling one answer from a long recording, cutting a middle sample out of a track, or removing silence before converting formats.
FAQ
- Can I extract a middle section, not only the start or end?
- Yes. Start and End define the exact range to keep. Move both sliders inward to download only a middle portion.
- Why is the output always WAV?
- Trim re-encodes samples as lossless PCM WAV so quality is not reduced twice. Use Convert Audio if you need MP3 or OGG afterward.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Decoding and trimming run locally in your browser.
- What formats can I open?
- Common files such as MP3, WAV, OGG, WebM, and M4A. FLAC often works in Chrome and Firefox. CD Audio (.cda) shortcuts are not real audio files and will not open. If a file fails, convert it to WAV or MP3 first, then trim.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes in modern mobile browsers. Very long files may use more memory on phones.
