Trim Video
Choose the start and end of the section to keep — anywhere in the file — then download an MP4. Processing stays on your device.
First run downloads a media engine from a CDN into your browser (cached afterward). Large videos may be slow or run out of memory on phones — try a shorter file if needed.
How to trim video online without uploading
Extract any section from a video file — beginning, middle, or end — entirely in your browser. Drop MP4, WebM, MOV, and similar formats; your file stays on the device and downloads as MP4.
How to use it
- Drop a video file.
- Set Start and End to the section you want to keep (anywhere in the file).
- Download the trimmed MP4.
When it helps
Handy for cutting one scene from a long recording, removing dead time, or shortening a file before sharing or extracting audio.
FAQ
- Can I extract a middle section, not only the start or end?
- Yes. Start and End define the exact range to keep. Move both sliders inward to download only a middle portion.
- Will quality drop?
- Usually not — we try a stream copy that keeps the original video and audio streams. If that fails for the container, the engine re-encodes once to MP4.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Trimming runs locally after the media engine loads from a CDN into your browser.
- Why is the output MP4?
- MP4 plays reliably across phones and desktops. Other containers are accepted as input when the engine can read them.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes in modern mobile browsers, but large videos may be slow or run out of memory — shorter files are safer on phones.
